We’re excited to introduce Naomi Findlay as our third coach for the Elsewhere on Wheels,

Ladies dirt bike weekend — well known on social media as @fitmxchick! Fit MX Chick Naomi Findlay

Naomi’s journey into the world of dirt bikes is anything but ordinary. Unlike some riders, she didn’t grow up around motorbikes. She first hopped on a small bike at 25, but it wasn’t until five years later—after losing her dad to an aggressive cancer—that she bought her first full-size 250 and truly discovered her love for riding.

At 31, with encouragement from other women at the track, Naomi entered her first race—

and she hasn’t looked back since. Now in her fourth season of competition, she’s raced motocross, enduro, and reliability trials across Australia, with over 60 events under her belt.

Her race résumé includes two Finke Desert Races (finishing 18th in 2023 and 9th in 2025 in the Women’s Class), the Don River Dash in QLD (6th), the Kalgoorlie Desert Race in WA (5th), and the Deep Well MX in the NT (4th). Through it all, Naomi has raised more than $24,000 for cancer research in honour of her dad.

Off the bike, Naomi is a primary school teacher who’s found a unique way to combine her love of education and moto. Nearly two years ago, she gave up her home and teaching job in Adelaide to live full-time on the road in her converted motorbike trailer, teaching in remote South Australian communities to fund her racing dream.

As a newly qualified Motorcycling Australia Level One Coach, she also loves taking her bike into schools to talk about resilience, goal setting, and following your passion.

Naomi’s mission is simple but powerful—to inspire women to see what’s possible when you put in the work and back yourself. Through sharing her journey online, she’s built lasting friendships, found encouragement and support, and opened new doors in the dirt bike community.
