Who am I, and why am I bringing you this opportunity?

You may not have heard my name before, so let me introduce myself!

I’m Emma Miller —a passionate dirt bike rider, business owner, and an experienced event planner, combining my passions into one epic weekend for like-minded women.

After searching for more female focussed dirt bike events in Tasmania and coming up short, I travelled to Bright, VIC, to attend one of Jemma Wilson’s coaching weekends. I left inspired, and with Jemma’s support, we’re now bringing her expertise further south to Tasmania!

My background includes, qualifications in Adventure Tourism and Guiding, Sports Administration, Diploma of business management and have 8 years working in corporate events & community engagement for an AFL football club. My husband Andrew and I recently transitioned to owners of my family businesses Leightons 4x4 and Burnie 4x4 - Automotive Accessory stores in Tasmania.

We have three young (motobike loving)children and a hobby farm; and always make finding time for our passions a priority. I have always enjoyed riding dirt bikes socially, and have more recently tried my hand in competitive racing - still classing it as “just for fun”.

I love connecting with and encouraging other women to ride motorbikes, it is my aim to foster growth and connections within the community of women who ride dirt bikes in Tasmania and nationally too. The Facebook page Tassie dirt bike chicks and my Instagram @sheridesdirtbikes were created just for that - a fun, not so serious place to share, connect, support and hopefully encourage more to give it a go or get back out there and have some fun on two wheels.

Putting myself out there on social media has opened up doors of opportunity and created amazing connections within the riding community. And now, it’s leading to this exciting moment: creating an unforgettable weekend just for women who ride!
