Never too late to fall in love with Riding

Meet Keri-Anne Thurley:

Keri-Anne didn’t grow up on bikes. In fact, she only started riding 2.5years ago just before her 50th birthday—she’s calling it her mid life crisis, but I think she needs to rename it to her mid life adventure.

What began as a curiosity, quickly turned into a full-blown obsession. Since that first ride, Keri has thrown herself into motorbikes with unstoppable passion and energy—riding everywhere from across outback Australia to international tracks, visiting and riding in countries such as Bosnia, Croatia, Namibia, Bali, New Zeland and the UK.

Keri has been training and growing her skills on both big 1200 GS adventure bikes, larger enduro bikes like her Husky 501, more recently on a nimble beta 300 crosstrainer, and even a go at Trials bikes.

Keri-Anne’s dedication doesn’t stop with her own riding—she’s deeply invested in building up the female dirt bike community with us and creating more space for women to ride, train, and thrive.

We’re thrilled to have Keri as part of the team behind the Elsewhere on Wheels Ladies Dirt Bike Weekend this November. She’s not only part of the organising crew—she’s also hosting us on her incredible property, Winston, just outside Launceston.

Keri-Anne has transformed her farm into an enduro rider’s dream: with flowing grass tracks, hill climbs, obstacles, logs, and even a custom-built sand section, complete with a truckload of sand she brought in to perfect her sand riding technique.

With her go-getter spirit and her belief that “you’ve only got one life, so live it,” Keri-Anne is the perfect embodiment of what this event is all about. And we can’t wait for you to meet her.
